SAN CRISTóBAL, Oct. 8, 2000 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (South American Qualifiers) : Brazil defeated Venezuela by a big score of 6-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Sunday afternoon.

The result put the Brazilians second in the group with 17 points. Venezuela is bottom with 3 points. In their next game, Brazil will meet Colombia on November 15, while Venezuela will face Ecuador.
