BUENOS AIRES, Mar. 27, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (South American Qualifiers) : Argentina defeated Venezuela by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Tuesday night.

The result put the Argentine top of the group with 28 points. Venezuela is bottom with 3 points. In their next game, Argentina will meet Bolivia on April 25, while Venezuela will face Colombia.
