SANTIAGO, Aug. 14, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (South American Qualifiers) : Chile tied 2-2 with Bolivia (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Tuesday night.
The result put the Bolivians 7th in the group with 14 points. Chile is 9th with 11 points. In their next game, Bolivia will meet second-placed Paraguay on September 5, while Chile will face Venezuela.
