LA PAZ, Nov. 7, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (South American Qualifiers) : Bolivia defeated Brazil by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Wednesday night.

The result put the Brazilians fourth in the group with 27 points. Bolivia is 7th with 17 points. In their last game, Brazil will meet Venezuela on November 14, while Bolivia will face Peru.
