BOGOTá, Nov. 7, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (South American Qualifiers) : Colombia defeated Chile by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Wednesday afternoon.
The result put the Colombians 6th in the group with 24 points. Chile is bottom with 11 points. In their last game, Colombia will meet second-placed Paraguay on November 14, while Chile will face Ecuador.
