LJUBLJANA, Jun. 2, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (European Qualifiers) : Slovenia defeated Luxembourg by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.
The result put the Slovenians third in Group 1 with 10 points. Luxembourg is bottom with no points. In their next game, Slovenia will meet second-placed Switzerland on June 6, while Luxembourg will face Russia.
