STOCKHOLM, Jun. 2, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (European Qualifiers) : Sweden defeated Slovakia by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Swedish top of Group 4 with 14 points. Slovakia is third with 11 points. In their next game, Sweden will meet Moldova on June 6, while Slovakia will face Azerbaijan.
