YEREVAN, Oct. 7, 2000 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (European Qualifiers) : Ukraine defeated Armenia by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Ukrainians third in Group 5 with 3 points. Armenia is bottom with one point. In their next game, Ukraine will meet Norway on October 11, while Armenia will face Belarus.
