SARAJEVO, Sep. 2, 2000 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (European Qualifiers) : Spain defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.

The result put the Spaniard top of Group 7 with 3 points. In their next game, Spain will meet Israel on October 7, while Bosnia and Herzegovina will face Israel.
