VIENNA, Sep. 5, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (European Qualifiers) : Austria defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.

The result put the Austrians second in Group 7 with 14 points. Bosnia and Herzegovina is fourth with 5 points. In their last game, Austria will meet third-placed Israel on October 27, while Bosnia and Herzegovina will face Liechtenstein.
