TRIESTE, Mar. 28, 2001 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 (European Qualifiers) : Italy defeated Lithuania by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2002 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Italians top of Group 8 with 13 points. Lithuania is bottom with one point. In their next game, Italy will meet Georgia on June 2, while Lithuania will face Romania.
