England beats Ecuador to reach World Cup quarterfinals
STUTTGART, Jun. 25, 2006 (AMP) — Germany 2006 : England qualified to the quarter-finals of the 2006 FIFA World Cup with a 1-0 win against Ecuador (halftime: 0-0) on Sunday afternoon at the Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion in Stuttgart.
Ecuador made the Englishs doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by English midfielder David Beckham in the 60th minute.
