Brazil beats Ghana to reach World Cup quarterfinals
DORTMUND, Jun. 27, 2006 (AMP) — Germany 2006 : Brazil qualified to the quarter-finals of the 2006 FIFA World Cup with a 3-0 win against Ghana (halftime: 2-0) on Tuesday afternoon at the Westfalenstadion in Dortmund.
Brazil dominated the first half thanks to goals from Ronaldo ('5) and Adriano ('45). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Brazilians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Zé Roberto with just 6 minutes remaining in regulation time.
