France beats Brazil to advance to World Cup semifinals
FRANKFURT, Jul. 1, 2006 (AMP) — Germany 2006 : France reached the semifinals of the 2006 FIFA World Cup with a 1-0 win against Brazil (halftime: 0-0) on Saturday night at the Waldstadion in Frankfurt.
Brazil made the Frenchs doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by French forward Thierry Henry in the 57th minute.
