Nov. 17, 2004 (AMP) — Germany 2006 (South American Qualifiers) : Argentina defeated Venezuela by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2006 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Wednesday.

The result put the Argentine top of the group with 22 points. Venezuela is 9th with 13 points. In their next game, Argentina will meet Bolivia on March 26, while Venezuela will face Colombia.
