Mar. 30, 2005 (AMP) — Germany 2006 (South American Qualifiers) : Argentina defeated Colombia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Wednesday.

The result put the Argentine top of the group with 28 points. Colombia is 6th with 14 points. In their next game, Argentina will meet third-placed Ecuador on June 4, while Colombia will face Peru.
