Mar. 30, 2005 (AMP) — Germany 2006 (South American Qualifiers) : Uruguay tied 1-1 with Brazil (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Wednesday.

The result put the Brazilians second in the group with 24 points. Uruguay is 5th with 16 points. In their next game, Brazil will meet Paraguay on June 5, while Uruguay will face Venezuela.
