Jun. 5, 2005 (AMP) — Germany 2006 (South American Qualifiers) : Brazil defeated Paraguay by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Sunday.

The result put the Brazilians second in the group with 27 points. Paraguay is fourth with 19 points. In their next game, Brazil will meet group leaders Argentina on June 8, while Paraguay will face Bolivia.
