Oct. 9, 2005 (AMP) — Germany 2006 (South American Qualifiers) : Argentina defeated Peru by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2006 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Sunday.

The result put the Argentine top of the group with 34 points. Peru is 9th with 15 points. In their last game, Argentina will meet Uruguay on October 12, while Peru will face Bolivia.
