Brazil beats Chile to reach World Cup quarterfinals
JOHANNESBURG, Jun. 28, 2010 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 : Brazil qualified to the quarter-finals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup with a 3-0 win against Chile (halftime: 2-0) on Monday night at the Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg.
Brazil dominated the first half thanks to goals from Juan ('35) and Fabiano ('38). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Brazilians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Robinho in the 59th minute.
