Germany beats Argentina to advance to World Cup semifinals
CAPE TOWN, Jul. 3, 2010 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 : Germany reached the semifinals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup with a 4-0 win against Argentina (halftime: 1-0) on Saturday afternoon at the Cape Town Stadium.
Miroslav Klose scored dual goals
Germany dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Thomas Müller in the 3rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Germans further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Klose '68, '89 and Friedrich '74).
