JOHANNESBURG, Jul. 3, 2010 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 : Spain reached the semifinals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup with a 1-0 win against Paraguay (halftime: 0-0) on Saturday night at the Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg.
45 minutes of play and neither the Spaniards nor the Paraguayans have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Spanish forward David Villa with just 7 minutes remaining in regulation time.
