DOHA, Nov. 19, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (Asian Qualifiers) : Japan defeated Qatar by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Japanese second in Group 1 with 7 points. Qatar is third with 4 points. In their next game, Japan will meet group leaders Australia on February 11, while Qatar will face Uzbekistan.
