TASHKENT, Feb. 11, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (Asian Qualifiers) : Bahrain defeated Uzbekistan by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday afternoon.
The result put the Bahraini third in Group 1 with 4 points. Uzbekistan is bottom with one point. In their next game, Bahrain will meet second-placed Japan on March 28, while Uzbekistan will face Qatar.
