TASHKENT, Mar. 28, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (Asian Qualifiers) : Uzbekistan defeated Qatar by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Uzbek third in Group 1 with 4 points. Qatar is bottom with 4 points. In their next game, Uzbekistan will meet group leaders Australia on April 1, while Qatar will face Bahrain.
