ABU DHABI, Sep. 10, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (Asian Qualifiers) : Saudi Arabia defeated the United Arab Emirates by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-1), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Saudi top of Group 2 with 4 points. UAE is bottom with no points. In their next game, Saudi Arabia will meet third-placed South Korea on November 19, while the United Arab Emirates will face South Korea.
