DUBAI, Nov. 19, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (Asian Qualifiers) : The United Arab Emirates tied 1-1 with Iran (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Iranians top of Group 2 with 5 points. UAE is bottom with one point. In their next game, Iran will meet second-placed South Korea on February 11, while the United Arab Emirates will face North Korea.
