PYONGYANG, Feb. 11, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (Asian Qualifiers) : North Korea defeated Saudi Arabia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday afternoon.
The result put the Koreans second in Group 2 with 7 points. Saudi Arabia is fourth with 4 points. In their next game, North Korea will meet the United Arab Emirates on March 28, while Saudi Arabia will face Iran.
