TEHRAN, Mar. 28, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (Asian Qualifiers) : Saudi Arabia defeated Iran by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.
The result put the Saudi third in Group 2 with 7 points. Iran is fourth with 6 points. In their next game, Saudi Arabia will meet the United Arab Emirates on April 1, while Iran will face North Korea.
