PYONGYANG, Mar. 28, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (Asian Qualifiers) : North Korea defeated the United Arab Emirates by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Koreans top of Group 2 with 10 points. UAE is bottom with one point. In their next game, North Korea will meet second-placed South Korea on April 1, while the United Arab Emirates will face Saudi Arabia.
