SEOUL, Apr. 1, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (Asian Qualifiers) : South Korea defeated North Korea by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Koreans top of Group 2 with 11 points. North Korea is second with 10 points. In their next game, South Korea will meet the United Arab Emirates on June 6, while North Korea will face Iran.
