DUBAI, Jun. 6, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (Asian Qualifiers) : South Korea defeated the United Arab Emirates by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.
The result put the Koreans top of Group 2 with 14 points. UAE is bottom with one point. In their next game, South Korea will meet third-placed Saudi Arabia on June 10, while the United Arab Emirates will face Iran.
