TEHRAN, Jun. 10, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (Asian Qualifiers) : Iran defeated the United Arab Emirates by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a World Cup qualifying game on Wednesday night.
The result put the Iranians third in Group 2 with 10 points. UAE is bottom with one point. In their last game, Iran will meet group leaders South Korea on June 17.
