BANGKOK, Jun. 14, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (Asian Qualifiers) : Japan defeated Thailand by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Japanese top of Group 2 with 10 points. Thailand is bottom with one point. In their last game, Japan will meet second-placed Bahrain on June 22, while Thailand will face Oman.
