PYONGYANG, Jun. 14, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (Asian Qualifiers) : North Korea defeated Jordan by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Koreans top of Group 3 with 11 points. Jordan is third with 4 points. In their last game, North Korea will meet second-placed South Korea on June 22, while Jordan will face Turkmenistan.
