ASHGABAT, Jun. 14, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (Asian Qualifiers) : South Korea defeated Turkmenistan by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.
The result put the Koreans top of Group 3 with 11 points. Turkmenistan is bottom with one point. In their last game, South Korea will meet second-placed North Korea on June 22, while Turkmenistan will face Jordan.
