BEIRUT, Feb. 6, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (Asian Qualifiers) : Uzbekistan defeated Lebanon by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Uzbek top of Group 4 with 3 points. In their next game, Uzbekistan will meet third-placed Saudi Arabia on March 26, while Lebanon will face Singapore.
