RIYADH, Jun. 7, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (Asian Qualifiers) : Saudi Arabia defeated Lebanon by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.
The result put the Saudi second in Group 4 with 9 points. Lebanon is bottom with no points. In their next game, Saudi Arabia will meet third-placed Singapore on June 14, while Lebanon will face Uzbekistan.
