KUWAIT CITY, Jun. 14, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (Asian Qualifiers) : The United Arab Emirates defeated Kuwait by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.
The result put the Emirati second in Group 5 with 8 points. Kuwait is bottom with 4 points. In their last game, the United Arab Emirates will meet third-placed Syria on June 22, while Kuwait will face Iran.
