COLUMBUS, Feb. 11, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (American Qualifiers) : The United States defeated Mexico by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Fourth Round) on Wednesday night.
The result put the Americans top of the group with 3 points. In their next game, the United States will meet second-placed El Salvador on March 28, while Mexico will face Costa Rica.
