MEXICO CITY, Mar. 28, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (American Qualifiers) : Mexico defeated Costa Rica by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Fourth Round) on Saturday afternoon.
The result left both teams tied in the second place of the group with 3 points. In their next game, Costa Rica will meet El Salvador on April 1, while Mexico will face Honduras.
