SCARBOROUGH, Jun. 6, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (American Qualifiers) : Costa Rica defeated Trinidad and Tobago by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Fourth Round) on Saturday night.
The result put the Costa Ricans top of the group with 12 points. Trinidad and Tobago is bottom with 2 points. In their next game, Costa Rica will meet third-placed Honduras on August 12, while Trinidad and Tobago will face Mexico.
