SAN PEDRO SULA, Oct. 10, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (American Qualifiers) : The United States defeated Honduras by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Fourth Round) on Saturday night.
The result put the Americans top of the group with 19 points. Honduras is fourth with 13 points. In their last game, the United States will meet third-placed Costa Rica on October 14, while Honduras will face El Salvador.
