MEXICO CITY, Oct. 10, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (American Qualifiers) : Mexico defeated El Salvador by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Fourth Round) on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Mexicans top of the group with 18 points. El Salvador is 5th with 8 points. In their last game, Mexico will meet Trinidad and Tobago on October 14, while El Salvador will face Honduras.
