GUATEMALA CITY, Aug. 20, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (American Qualifiers) : The United States defeated Guatemala by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Americans second in Group 1 with 3 points. In their next game, the United States will meet Cuba on September 6, while Guatemala will face Trinidad and Tobago.
