GUATEMALA CITY, Sep. 10, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (American Qualifiers) : Guatemala defeated Cuba by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Guatemalans second in Group 1 with 4 points. Cuba is bottom with no points. In their next game, Guatemala will meet third-placed Trinidad and Tobago on October 11, while Cuba will face the United States.
