WASHINGTON DC, Oct. 11, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (American Qualifiers) : The United States defeated Cuba by a big score of 6-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.
The result put the Americans top of Group 1 with 12 points. Cuba is bottom with no points. In their next game, the United States will meet third-placed Trinidad and Tobago on October 15, while Cuba will face Guatemala.
