MEXICO CITY, Aug. 20, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (American Qualifiers) : Mexico defeated Honduras by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-1), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Mexicans top of Group 2 with 3 points. In their next game, Mexico will meet second-placed Jamaica on September 6, while Honduras will face Canada.
