SAN PEDRO SULA, Oct. 11, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (American Qualifiers) : Honduras defeated Canada by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.
The result put the Hondurans top of Group 2 with 9 points. Canada is bottom with one point. In their next game, Honduras will meet third-placed Jamaica on October 15, while Canada will face Mexico.
