SAN JOSé, Oct. 15, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (American Qualifiers) : Costa Rica defeated Haiti by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Costa Ricans top of Group 3 with 15 points. Haiti is third with 2 points. In their last game, Costa Rica will meet second-placed El Salvador on November 19, while Haiti will face Suriname.
